Dodd Research Center.\u00a0 A recipient of the James Marshall Fellowship, Ms. Guidone is\u00a0a children&#8217;s writer who lives\u00a0in Hamden.\u00a0At the University of Connecticut, she studied Children\u2019s Literature with Francelia Butler, and Creative Writing with Matthew Proser, Elaine Scarry and Feenie Ziner. She earned her master\u2019s degree at Yale University. \u00a0An active member of the Society for Children\u2019s Book Writers and Illustrators, Ms. Guidone won Connecticut\u2019s 2006 Tassy Walden Award for New Voices in Children\u2019s Literature and is the author of <strong><em>Drum City<\/em><\/strong> (Tricycle Press, May 2010).
