249px\" \/><\/a>Rare anarchist and race-related publications from the Alternative Press Collection are <strong>now on view<\/strong> in the Archives\u2019 McDonald Reading Room.\u00a0 The special exhibition in Archives and Special Collections is curated by Archivist Graham Stinnett and will launch the <a href=\"http:\/\/africana.uconn.edu\/race-and-anarchy-conference-326-327\/\" target=\"_blank\">Race and Anarchy Symposium<\/a> taking place at UConn on Thursday, March 26 through Friday, March 27.<\/p>\n<p>Drawn from a wide-ranging collection of anarchist materials that dates from the late 1800s to the present, the selection on display includes ephemeral printings and periodicals of anarchist thinkers and collectives from the 1960s through the early 1990s.\u00a0 Printed in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish, the collection documents the international struggle against oppression and hierarchical structures.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2015\/03\/anarchy02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5356\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2015\/03\/anarchy02-273x300.jpg\" alt=\"anarchy02\" width=\"273\" height=\"300\" is scheduled for 2:00pm to 3:30pm on March 26<\/strong>, before Opening Remarks at 3:30pm in the Class of 47 Room in Babbidge Library.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/africana.uconn.edu\/race-and-anarchy-conference-326-327\/\" target=\"_blank\">Race and Anarchism Symposium<\/a> is free and open to the public.\u00a0 The symposium will offer explorations on theories and the history of anarchy when examined through the lens of critical work on class, gender, indigeneity, race, and sexuality. \u00a0Presenters include UConn faculty, grassroots organizers, and international scholars and theorists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2015\/03\/race-and-anarchy-final.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
