\"c8d1d1ec-0e61-4abe-89a8-a6547d08c2c5\"<\/a>Len &\u00a0Georgia Morris will be screening their film on child poverty The Same Heart<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/a>this Wednesday, April 20th 2016\u00a0from 4-6pm in the Konover Auditorium at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center.\u00a0The film, screened as part\u00a0of the Human Rights Institute’s Film Series,\u00a0follows\u00a0a growing number of global economists, joining their voices with moral leaders of the world. They agree that an extremely small financial transaction tax,\u00a0\u201c<\/strong><\/b>The Robin Hood Tax,\u201d<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0could for the first time, place the needs of children at the heart of the global financial system.\u00a0Suggesting a sustainable approach,The Same Heart<\/i>\u00a0also follows a dynamic Kenyan community organizer who devotes his life to making programs work from the bottom up.<\/p>\n

This film connects significantly with our U. Roberto (Robin) Romano Papers<\/span><\/u><\/a> in the Archives & Special Collections, recently donated by Len Morris.\u00a0 Robin Romano, credited as Cameraman in\u00a0The Same Heart,\u00a0<\/em>directed and shot\u00a0several films on child labor\u00a0and global income inequality.\u00a0 Although he passed away in 2013, his creative legacy involves a focus on human rights violations experienced by children around the world. His complete body of work including photos, films, and interviews, is now archived with at the Archives & Special Collections<\/span><\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n
