It’s been weeks since therapy dogs have visited the UConn Health Sciences Library. During these stressful times, we could all use a furry hug or a sloppy canine kiss. Wondering about our furry friends, the library reached out to our therapy dog teams to find out what their pups have been up to. It turns out, they miss us too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Fridays, the library will feature one of our therapy dogs to update you on what they have been doing to keep busy. Our first post features Nala who recently turned five. We hope you enjoy their stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

News From Nala<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nala and her owner Deb said: “THANK YOU and CHEERS to all our healthcare professionals! You are true HEROES!! We wanted to show our support and offer you some puppy love and comfort with a virtual visit from Nala. We miss you and hope we can see you soon.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since we last saw Nala, she celebrated her fifth birthday. What a big girl you are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nala is good but certainly misses her people. Deb said Nala is “always nudging one of us for affection.” Nala loves to play and go for walks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nala lives in Wethersfield. On nice days, she and Deb visit the Broad Street green or try Mill Pond Park in Newington. Otherwise, they walk on the side streets in their neighborhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
