The U.S. Census Bureau’s recently published report regarding first time\u00a0mothers\u00a0and employment patterns<\/a> indicates expectant mothers have changed their employment patterns dramatically in the past few decades. Women are now more likely to work while pregnant with, and after the birth of, their first child than they were in the 1960’s. This can, at least in part, be\u00a0attributed\u00a0to an increase in access to maternity leave.
