{"id":1696,"date":"2014-10-21T13:11:32","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T18:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/outsidetheneatline\/?p=1696"},"modified":"2014-10-21T13:11:32","modified_gmt":"2014-10-21T18:11:32","slug":"regional-council-of-governments-census-data-browser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/outsidetheneatline\/2014\/10\/21\/regional-council-of-governments-census-data-browser\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional Council of Governments Census Data Browser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Connecticut State Data Center has created a Census Data Browser for the Regional Councils of Governments in Connecticut, allowing users to view a range of demographic, economic, and housing data for any of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct.gov\/opm\/cwp\/view.asp?q=383046\" target=\"_blank\">nine RCOG planning regions<\/a>. While the data dashboard draws mainly on Census Bureau data &#8211; decennial census, American Community Survey, and building permit data downloaded from Census.gov &#8211; the tool also includes other some other sources such as surface permeability and grand list data.
