{"id":362,"date":"2014-01-29T16:00:11","date_gmt":"2014-01-29T21:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/staffnews\/?p=362"},"modified":"2014-01-29T16:00:11","modified_gmt":"2014-01-29T21:00:11","slug":"reorganization-planning-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.uconn.edu\/staffnews\/2014\/01\/29\/reorganization-planning-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Reorganization Planning Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of our ongoing effort to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the UConn Libraries, I am proposing changes to our existing organizational structure that I would like to share with you at the UCL-wide Town Hall meeting on <strong>Thursday, February 6<sup>th<\/sup> at 10:00am<\/strong>. This is an important conversation, and one where I hope all staff will participate so please make every effort to attend. I ask that you <a href=\"https:\/\/web2.uconn.edu\/hrtraining\/training\/index.php?event=1220\">RSVP<\/a> by this Friday, January 31st\u00a0to confirm your attendance. Once we know how many of you will be joining us we will confirm the location.<\/p>\n<p>We will not be hiring a consultant for this process because I believe that we can, and should, manage the process ourselves. I have asked JP Lacombe from Human Resources to help organize and facilitate the open dialogue necessary for our success. There will be ample opportunity to discuss the proposed changes at the meeting, as well as future follow up meetings. Should you have questions ahead of the meeting and would like to submit them anonymously, you may send them to <a href=\"mailto:hr-osd@uconn.edu\">hr-osd@uconn.edu<\/a>.
