A new look for a new year is coming to the Jeremy Richard Library! Major renovations to the library\u2019s first floor\u00a0begin Monday, July 11th through mid-August.<\/strong> Renovations will touch all public areas of the library excluding the Library Services Desk. The first floor will be dramatically redesigned to accommodate a new Collaboration and Learning Commons that will include\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Relocation of the computer lab to the first floor of the library including staff<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Additional power outlets<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 New furniture and collaboration space<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An enclosed quiet study area on the first floor<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wall enclosure for the Source for Active Learning (Writing Center\/Tutoring)<\/p>\n

The library will remain open during the renovations and directional signage will be posted for library users. The library\u2019s elevator and bathroom will not be accessible during this renovation period.\u00a0 Library users will need to use the restrooms that are near the Fitness Center. We\u2019ve moved several machines around to accommodate users during this project.<\/p>\n

Remaining on the FIRST Floor <\/strong>will be:
\n– 4 computers
\n– Printer
\n– Photocopier
\n– BookScan Station
\n– Newspapers\/Magazines<\/p>\n

Relocated to the SECOND Floor<\/strong>:
\n– 5 computers
\n– lounge seating (purple\/blue chairs)<\/p>\n
