Washington/Broad Street UConn entrance to campus closed

Effective today, August 4, the UConn Stamford Campus will initiate a new safety precaution.  The entrance door located closest to the corner of Washington and Broad Streets will be locked, and there will be no entry to the campus at that entrance.

The purpose of this action is to minimize the potential danger of falling debris from the Trump Parc construction project harming UConn Stamford faculty, staff and students, as that entrance door is directly across the street from the Trump Parc construction project and near the location where the July 23 incident occurred.

The entrance door will remain locked until further notice.  The closure of the door will also restrict exiting from the building at that location of the campus.  The alternate entrances to the campus include the Broad Street door (located across from Target), the Franklin Street door, and the Washington Blvd door.  The latter two entrances offer access to disabled persons.
