Have you gotten your New ID Card Yet?

Beginning May 30th, the UConn Libraries will require the new Husky One Card Photo ID for all library transactions. All money you have on your card and all books you have charged to you in the library will automatically transfer from your old card to the new ID card.

Problems with Library Catalog today

Please be aware that the library’s HOMER catalog is experiencing intermittent problems. You may or may not be able to access the catalog throughout the day. Library Technicians are aware of the problem and are working on them. Thank you for your patience.

Wireless Access on Stamford Campus Expanded

The University of Connecticut’s wireless network has been expanded to cover the entire Stamford campus!

Students, faculty and staff now have the flexibility to access the wireless network from anywhere on campus. The University’s 802.11g wireless network allows anyone with a NetID (http://netid.uconn.edu <http://netid.uconn.edu/> ), authenticated access to the network.

CTTRANSIT Annonces Schedule Changes -Stamford Routes

CTTRANSIT makes schedule changes periodically to improve the overall efficiency of its service. Service adjustments in greater Stamford will be effective April 29, 2007.

Later evening service on weeknights is being offered on major Stamford area bus routes.  Service on the following routes will operate every hour after 7:00PM with the last trip at 11:10PM or 11:45PM:

11-Port Chester
13-West Broad Street
31-High Ridge Road
33/34-Strawberry Hill Avenue/Hope Street
41-Norwalk
43-Cove Road

Service on the following routes will operate every hour from 7:40PM to 11:45PM:

21-West Avenue
24/22-Fairfield Avenue/Greenwich Avenue
44-Pacific Street

In addition to providing much-needed transportation to and from work, retail and entertainment centers at night, these new trips will also provide connections with the I-BUS White Plains Express, which introduced later evening service six days a week in December 2006, as well as Metro-North trains and local bus service in Port Chester, NY and Norwalk, CT.

No May Evening Hours for library

Just a reminder that next week, commencing on Monday, May 7th the library’s hours will be 9:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday’s we will be closed until June.

This week: May 1-May 4 (Tues-Thurs 8:00am-9:00PM), Friday (9:00-4:30)

and May 5, Saturday (11:00-4:00pm), we are open.
