Due to the inclement weather all classes that begin before 12:00 noon are cancelled. All classes will resume at 12:00 noon.

Wireless Update 2/10/11

Most people should be all set with UConn Wireless Secure; however, for those still experiencing problems perform the following change in your UConn Secure settings.

Go to the wireless web site and click on Get Connected and then the appropriate operating system (OS). Next, follow these instructions:

  1. On the Protected EAP Properties box, uncheck Validate server certificate.
  2. Click OK
  3. Disconnect from UConn Secure wireless and reconnect.
  4. Repeat the step above to ensure the Validate server certificate box is still unchecked.

The connection should now work.

If you still cannot connect, follow the above instructions plus perform the following.

  1. Check Connect to these servers:
  2. Keep bean.uits.uconn.edu
  3. Delete ender.uits.uconn.edu
  4. Click OK

The connection should now work.

If however you continue to experience difficulties please report the issue to security@uconn.edu and copy helpcenter@uconn.edu. Students can contact HuskyTech for assistance.

The African American Archives provides over a million pages of original historical documents pertaining to the African American experience over several centuries, the earliest coming from the collection of Essential Records Concerning Slavery and Emancipation from the Danish West Indies (1672-1917). There are several other slavery-related collections, including letters, account books, annual reports, news clippings, and related manuscripts from the American Colonization Society. The African American Archives also includes Records of the Southern Claims Commission, government records, original muster and hospital rolls, descriptive books, lists of deserters, returns, notational cards, enlistment papers, casualty sheets, death reports, prisoner of war papers, and correspondence.
