Campus Severe Weather Awareness Information
SUBJECT: Early Releases, Delays, or Closings Due to Severe Weather
As our first snowstorm of the season approaches, I’d like to bring to your attention the various means for which you can keep yourself updated as to early releases, delays, or closings announcements. Please keep in mind any decision will take into account your personal safety.
There are basically 5 ways to do be kept informed: TV, Radio, UConn Stamford web site, Emergency Line, and Email blasts to Students, Faculty & Staff. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these should we anticipate severe weather.
Please familiarize yourself with our detail procedures found posted the Stamford campus web site http://stamford.uconn.edu/emergency_closing.html. Announcements will be broadcasted several hours in advance of the usual campus opening time 7 a.m., but please check frequently as conditions may change.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gary Faulkner, Interim Associate Campus Director at 203.251.8405 or Gary.Faulkner “at” uconn.edu.
