UITS Data Center Shutdown for Maintenance, Sat. August 8

UITS is shutting down the University Data Center this weekend for maintenance, Saturday August 8, 2015. This means some services will be unavailable on Saturday from 5:00AM to 5:00PM. Available & Unavailable Services during Outage:
With our high availability infrastructure, we are able to maintain the following services without substantive interruption:

  • Networking (Wired and Wireless)
  • Email (Microsoft Office 365 and Gmail)
  • Learning Management System (HuskyCT)
  • Authentication (NetID, active directory, Radius, CAS, etc)
  • Departmental web content management (Aurora -read only)
  • University Core websites (University Alert Notification System, UConn Today, UConn)

    • today.uconn.edu
    • itstatus.uconn.edu

All other centrally hosted IT systems, including Student Administration, SkyBox, Pharos Printing and Enterprise File Server (P and Q drives) will be unavailable during the outage.

UConn Winter Weather Alert, Monday, Jan. 26th & Tues. Jan. 27th

Due to the winter storm, all classes at all UConn campuses starting on
Monday, Jan. 26. at 3:30 p.m. or later are canceled.
The UConn Stamford -Jeremy Richard Library will close at 4:00PM.

All UConn campuses are closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27. All UConn classes are canceled. Day and evening essential staff only should report.

The University will send out a communication by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27 about classes and schedules on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

New phone charging station on campus

Forgot your phone charging cable? The UConn Stamford Campus now hosts a KwikBoost mobile device charging station which charges both Android, Apple cellphones (and other portable devices). This new charging station is located on the concourse just past the UConn Co-op/Bookstore.

The Jeremy Richard Library also has a KwiKBoost charging station located on the first floor of the learning commons.
