Senator Joseph Lieberman’s Campus Visit – September 19

Senator Joseph Lieberman will make a visit to the UCONN Stamford Campus on Monday, September 19, beginning at 10:45, in the Schreiber Reading Room.

The purpose of his visit is twofold. First, he wishes to meet with the students who were originally planning to attend universities in the New Orleans area, and as a result of Hurricane Katrina were not able to do so. The University of Connecticut the fall semester, and at UCONN Stamford we have welcomed seven students to our campus.

Second, Senator Lieberman will be holding a press conference to discuss the current status of affairs in the Gulf Coast region.

UConn now has access to a new service for academic business research!

The Wharton Data Research Service allows for searching of business and finanical data files; and the ability to download and work on these files in SAS from the WRDS server.

UConn Continued Enrollment Procedures for Students

The University of Connecticut will continue emergency enrollment procedures for students affected by Hurricane Katrina until 3pm, Friday, September 9, 2005. Over the next 3 days, on the Storrs campus, the Office of Admissions will serve as the starting point for all students seeking to enroll at UConn. AT the Regional Campuses, Terry Reilly recommends you start this process in the registration area.

The attached document is a detailed step-by-step process to assist each student through the UConn enrollment process.

UConn Co-op Score Big Promotion

The UConn Co-op is participating in the Score Big promotion again this year where every Monday after every football home game, we’ll give 5% off for every touchdown scored by the Huskies to a maximum of 4 touchdowns or 20%. This discount applies to select UConn clothing and gifts only for the one day.
