UConn Stamford Writing Center and Q Center appointment scheduling changes

Scheduling appointments with a writing tutor or a Math/Science tutor will no longer be made at the campus  information desk. You’ll need to make an appointment with a Writing, Math or Science tutor by logging online to www.advapp.uconn.edu.

  • Schedule and cancel Writing, Math and Science Tutoring appointments
  • www.advapp.uconn.edu (UConn Advising Appointment website)
  • Login using your NetID and NetID password
  •  Select from drop down menu:  “The Source” Stamford Writing Center &  Q Center 

ReferenceUSA subscription available to CT residents

The Connecticut  State Library’s subscription to ReferenceUSA is now available to any resident of Connecticut with a State Library card. 

ReferenceUSA: provides directory information for US businesses in all zip code areas and has really good coverage of small private, local companies. A mapping feature allows one to identify businesses within a certain radius by SIC and NAICS codes.

Wireless Printing Now Available

Attention UConn Students, Faculty and Staff!  Now you can use your own laptop to print directly to the Stamford Library B&W printer in the library when connected to UConn-Secure Network. Ask at the Library Services Desk for more information or go to print.lib.uconn.edu

PC Laptop User

  • Login to the UConn Secure Network    (you will need your NetID)
  • Go to: print.lib.uconn.edu
  • Select and download driver ~ Stamford Library B&W to install on your laptop

Apple Laptop users, you’ll find instructions for MAC OS X at the print.lib.uconn.edu website.

Visits to one of the three corporations in Stamford after lunch, that  are open to all UConn students, faculty and staff.  Each site will provide tours of their facilities and a chance to meet HR staff and corporate managers.
