Virtual Catalog Down Today
The Boston Library Consortium Virtual Catalog is inaccessible at this time. The problem has been reported and hopefully will be up and running soon.

Campus Closed Saturday Dec. 20th
The building will be closed on Saturday, December 20th for repairs to the water system and electrical service.
This work is schedule to start at 7:00 a.m. and completed by 6:00 p.m.

Due to the inclement weather today, the UConn Stamford Campus will closed at 11:00 today, Friday, Dec. 19th.
Shuttle Bus Not in Service over Winter Break
The UConn Shuttle Bus will not be in operation from Friday, December 12, 2008 and will resume when school starts on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

We’ve just made a terrific set of print resources available online!
Cambridge Histories Online (http://rdl.lib.uconn.edu/databases/1571)
includes: American and world history; economic history and the history
of science; together with historical treatments of literature;
linguistics; music & theatre studies; philosophy; religion; anthropology
and political thought.
Full-text of 60 works of narrative synthesis by major scholars published
in over 250 volumes by Cambridge since 1960. see a full title list

Sandy Gallup and the CMST have added each individual title to Homer; if
you search for keyword = Cambridge histories online, you’ll see all the
titles. (Note that there are fewer than 250 Homer records since some
links are individual volumes of the same title). This has also been
added to the history page in the ERM; please let me know if you’d like
to add it to any other subject pages in the ERM.

Renewing Items Online from Homer
How to Renew Items Online for patrons with a NetID.
- From the UConn Libraries Home Page http://www.lib.uconn.edu
- Click on HOMER-Library Catalog.
- Click on Renew books/View account.
- From the NetID/Single-Sign-On page, click on the blue box.
- Enter your NetID and Password.
- Click on Login.
- Under the Renew? column, click on the boxes of the titles you wish to renew.
- At bottom of Items Checked Out window, click on the RENEW ITEMS box.
The NEW DUE DATE will appear in the right column of the page under RENEWAL STATUS.
